IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE - FOR LOCKER DROP: NO MOTORIZED ITEMS! Bring your safely wrapped items for sharpening. Fill out a customer information tag (provided at the lockers) and put it, along with your wrapped items into any available locker. When standing items up, brace the bottom against the L-bracket or in a corner. Lean the top away and to the back, so nothing falls out when we open the door. Lock up and take the key with you. Keep it in a safe place.*(There is a large locker for oversize items and overflow; please speak to shop staff in these cases.)
PLEASE - FOR LAWN MOWERS, BRING IN THE BLADE ONLY, NOT THE WHOLE MOWER! FOR PUSH/REEL TYPE MOWERS, PLEASE WRAP ENTIRE BLADE CYLINDER IN CARDBOARD AND SECURELY FASTEN. PLEASE REMOVE THE HANDLE BEFORE BRINGING THE BLADE IN.
JT'S BARBER SHOP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ITEM THAT DOES NOT MEET THE ABOVE CRITERIA!

Question: Good knives in the dishwasher?
Answer: It depends. First, let's put a halt to two common misconceptions: Neither heat of the dishwasher nor the chemicals in the soap is intense enough to harm your knives. However, any long soaking in hot water will harm wood handles – wash these by hand if you want the handles to stay nice. In the dishwasher, be sure blade edges rest in a space where they can't clank around onto other items. Ceramic knives especially may be chipped, so it is best to wash these by hand.
